Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

My parents do. They take it to ';save money.';Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
If it's a nice hotel and the products are good, I not only take them but raid the maids cart for more at the first opportunity. I love the Bulgari line at the four seasons and ask for more of everything when I stay there. It's heavenly.Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
yeah, pretty much every time, I paid for them and usually I'll use them later when travelling, they are a good size. The hotels don't care, they expect it, in fact, if you use all of it and need more, they'll usually bring more for free upon request.
I have a ';lucky bar of soap'; that I always leave in the right pocket of my ski coat...

it was from the ski lodge, we had to go on a ';room tour'; and I just picked up the soap.

The shampoos are crap.
ha no i usually use them all up by the time i leave and i never really think about taking them.. i have shampoo and conditioner at my house thank you very much lol and mine is better
haha no because the hotels that my family go to are so cheap that they don't give you shampoo or conditioner you have to take your own.
and the little soaps, and the sewing kits, and the shower caps...
well I would say yes I do because If there r just laying the the hotel room for free yeah I should .
Yeah, I take everything from hotels and give them to people when they stay over :)
Yep. All the time.
no they dont work and they ruin my hair i always get darndruff when i forget my own and use those!
Secretly I do even though it gives my dandruff
Of course and one time I even took a blanket.

I used too, until I went to beauty school and realized most of what hotels carry is junk, so no not anymore.
I'm a hotel cleaning maid and when people don't use the whole bottle I put it in my pocket and donate it.
They are there for you to take. I travel a lot, then I take them all to homeless shelters to give away.
I sure do. I paid for it I might as well take it and use it. You never know if your doing a over night trip it might come in handy lol = ) Love ya Sug xx

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

Of course. I get an outrageous discount at this one hotel and I stay there all the time so I have about 30 tiny bottles of lotion and shampoo at home and 6 in my pulley cart. They are there for your use and I assume in a small way the price is worked into the rate so why not take it? happy new yearDo you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
I usually do. Depends on how good the hotel it was. If it was one of those crappy hotels then not usually. If its really good or just okay then usually. The more expensive the hotel the better the soap usually.

Even if its not that good I keep as spare. hahaDo you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
Yes. One time they had a really nice orange-scented shampoo and conditioner I never saw before in stores. I like the small bottles because they can come in handy if you travel and you can put other things in them once they're empty.
Yeah, some are actually good and it saves you money from having to buy new shampoo and conditioner in the future.
If it's good shampoo, sure.

They usually say complimentary right on them. I mean, when they give complimentary pens, don't you take them?
Yup, but they usually suck! They make my hair tangled, though they smell really good!
chyeah specially in hawaii the hilton hotels hahahahahha
i take everything i can fit in my car.
hahah yeah! my parents do!
haha always. why wouldn't you? They will just throw it away anyway
Only once because it was Bumble and Bumble :D
like duh all the time lol
No.
yea you might as well as take what u paid for

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

Yes i take all the free stuff in the room!Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
absolutely! I work at a hotel so I know how little they pay for them and that yoru room stay is calculated to cover the cost of your breakfast, your toiletries, wear and tear on the pool and gym and all other ammenities and such. You are paying for them . I take them all when I stay at a hotel and request more. Im like send some more coffee packs up here, send some tissue, etc etc lol!Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
Yes, most of the time, they are for the guest anyway. That is why they are small and they only leave a few bottles in the bathroom. They know everyone does it. It is like a complimentary gift from the hotel.
I don't normally but the last hotel I stayed in just before Christmas I did because they were 75ml and Acqua Di Parma. I gave them to a friend who give them to his friend for his 40th Birthday.
yeah,

pretty much the only reason i stay at a hotel, free stuff like;

towels

shampoos conditioner

soap

lotion

ehhh...why not just take the bed while your at it.
yes, but I just use them for decoration or to wash things like curtains...except the ones I got from the Hilton...I washed my hair with those! lol
yes! I take everything, even the soap!
Lol yes, you are actually paying for them so why not haha?!

I take them all on the first day, and then take them every day as they are refilled. XD
Yes. If the bottles are cute... But i always end up just throwing them away when i get home..

Yes! One time, when staying in D.C. me and my friend went and took like 30 of them out of the maids cart when she had her back turned!Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotels?
Not really. Because they're never really good. But I do take the little packaged things of soap, the hairdryer, the good soft towels, and sometimes the hangers.

  • Can i take as many body lotions, shampoos etc and any sized bottles in my checked luggage on the plane?

im moving to adelaide from perth and i have a lot of body lotions, shampoos, body washes etc and i wanted to know am i allowed to take as many bottles in my suitcase or is there a limit. iv already heard that they can be any size if its in your checked in luggage but not sure about quantity. Can i take as many body lotions, shampoos etc and any sized bottles in my checked luggage on the plane?
Yes. But make sure that it seal so it won't leak out.

RCan i take as many body lotions, shampoos etc and any sized bottles in my checked luggage on the plane?
yes. make sure it is sealed tightly and only in your suitcase, not your carry on. you can only have like 3-5 fl oz in your carry on.

Why are conditioner bottles always smaller than the shampoo?

Mine are the same size, but I always run out of conditioner way before shampoo. Conditioners should be larger! Why are conditioner bottles always smaller than the shampoo?
It's just another Big Business Jedi Mind Trick, you know, like how they package hot-dog buns ten or twelve at a time even though there's only *eight* hot dogs in a single package of them?

The idea is that it gets you to thinking about the size difference, maybe even calculating *least common denominators*, trying to figure out how to make both sides match up....

Meaning either you *buy more* until you have equal amounts, or you give up and just make multiple shopping trips and *buy more stuff* as a consequence. Either way, the keywords are ';Buy More';, right? It's just one more way they have of legally *mugging you*. o_o

*This*, aside from convenience, is one of the reasons why I use a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner in the same freaking bottle! ^_^ *lol* Screw the mind trick, *I'll find a way to BUY LESS, thank you!* And it also keeps one more *hunk-o-plastic* out of the landfills, you know?

Just saying. ^_^ Fight the power! Why are conditioner bottles always smaller than the shampoo?
Maybe because the shampoo bottles recommend you shampoo, rinse, repeat (shampooing twice). And the conditioner bottles recommend conditioning only once thus making you use twice as much shampoo as conditioner.

I buy Nexxus, the shampoo bottles are bigger than the conditioner bottles. I never really noticed. I guess cheaper brands make the same size in both, then just run out of shampoo first...?
because most people dont use as much conditioner as shampoo. you really need to only put conditioner on the ends of the hair, from about the middle of the hair down. your hair should be in good condition at the root area. it can really weigh your hair down and make it not style right if you use to much conditioner.
I remember it used to be like that a lot but it seems now most are the same size as the shampoo but I think they should make it bigger because anyone that uses conditioner would use more of it than they use shampoo. And I agree with the guy that said that the bottles should dispense from the bottom b/c I also hate trying to get that last bit out.
i don't know!! but one thing that pisses me off is that most bottles don't come with the lid in a fashion that you can place down on it. I hate that the shampoo/conditioner cuts stuck at the top when its nearly empty and it takes forever for it to come out, it should just be standard for the bottom of the bottle be the lid! /rant
it always says that they're equal sizes, but i don't know. if you're like me you use a lot more conditioner than shampoo, that could be the issue here. lol, i always use two bottles of conditioner for every shampoo bottle. (like the same size) :]
I've always had them the same size, so I'm not sure which brand you use or why it does that. Perhaps they expect you to condition less, which is odd since it is actually more damaging to your hair to over shampoo than to over condition.
You normally shampoo your hair every day i do twice a day morning night and use condition every other day that's what I do if i condition it every day it feels weird and slick

    Best of Luck

    Vegas Bob
no... the conditioner are always larger than the shampoo, b.c you use more conditioner than shampoo.

[i dont know what shampoo and conditioner you are using]
    mine is equal

but i think it's because conditioner is an option

or like shampoo is the main dish, and then conditioner is the side dish
im assuming that it is because most companies think that it takes more shampoo than conditioner..

you gotta wash the icky outta your hair before you can condition it.
i dunno why! it really irritates me, as i seem to need more conditioner than shampoo whenever i wash my hair. i ALWAYS run out of conditioner before shampoo.
conditioners are smaller because they are more concentrated in nature and not every person opts to use conditioner after shampoo.
Because shampoo companies know that women tend to use more conditioner than shampoo therefore they provide smaller bottles so you buy more. Scam artists
Because you are only supposed to use about 1/3 the amount of conditioner as you do shampoo.
Costs more, so instead of charging a bunch more, they keep the costs nearly the same and just adjust the size of the container.
i never noticed they were smaller but i do always seem to run out of conditioner before shampoo.. it makes me sort of angry lol
It depends on the concentration. If it's concentrated conditioner it will be smaller.
your not suppose to use alot of conditioner or else your hair will get greasy. thats the dumb logic behind it anyway.
its a buisness thing they make it smaller since most people use more conditioner so you have to buy more it just gets them more money
they aren't. conditioner just runs out faster because it's thicker, so they can't fit as much into the bottle
Yes i know tell me about it. i have very long hair and use more conditioner than shampoo.. that's you buy the bigger bottle
I think it's because you don't need to use so much conditioner as you do shampoo.
    you shouldnt use as much
the ratio to healthy shampooing and conditioning is 3:2, respectively. LOL, idk
    Because you use less conditioner...
    Just a thought.

You are supposed to use more shampoo than conditioner in each use.
    never noticed that..
because they have more thick consistency?
lol for reals! i use much more conditioner since i live in co!

    Thank you babe. Report Abuse

I do - they are included in the price you pay for the hotel room so it is yours to keep. I like to use the good ones, but the lesser quality ones are still good for many things - my youngest daughter likes to use the bottles to play with in the bath tub and to use them when she plays house'; with her doll furniture. Or they can be filled to take with in my suitcase when I am traveling to relatives homes and don't want to take larger bottles.
Actually yes i do ! , their there for u to use so if u didnt use them why not take them ?, their free anyways and theres no sign that says u can't. I take them so i can keep them stored and remember oh ya this is where i stayed where i was ! just for memory ;) , there just so cute and miny.
yes, a lot of the time, they have awesome shampoo!

you are paying to use the stuff,

and it's not like they are going to use it for the next customer!

there's no reason not to steal the soap, unless it's really gnarly.
    YES DEFINITLY

i always do they smell so good and some times b4 i go and check out

and the made has already gone then i take the others again

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
yeah i take a whole bunch then i give them to the missionary for poor people to use i also take the lotions the hotel most likely is just goig to throw it away anyway
Yes and if you don't use that particular brand it is wonderful to donate to a nursing home or the VA hospitals. They appreciate all of the donations they can get.
Nah i dont touch those. like the only stuff i take is like lotion. cause if i use the hotel stuff, my hair gets all weird. :) i rather use my own.
Not usually because I don't really need them

But I stayed at this one hotel in Montreal that had products made specially for their hotel and the moisturizer was lime so me and my friend stole about 20 from the maid cart!
Only if it is really good stuff like Aveda. Most places just have something crappy like Pantene or a shampoo+conditioner in one. I bring my own and don't touch those.
    Depends on the hotel.

Sometimes the have the suckish stinky kind thatis just gross.

But if its any good sure why the heck not?!

    i take towel too,hehe.

  • Do u take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from the hotel u stay at when u leave?

Yeah. I have stayed in hotels about 300 nights a year for over 5 years. I collect the soaps, shampoos, conditioners and lotions and donate them to Battered Women's Shelters and other homeless shelters. I have donated way more than a thousand items. I get letters from the people running the places telling how much the visitors appreciate these personal sized items. It's way better than having to share a huge industrial size shampoo bottle. Don't you think?

I figure that if I donated cash then someone would get it as a salary. I want my donations to go directly to the people needing it.Do u take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from the hotel u stay at when u leave?
i take them, and the soap, and the coffee, and the tea, and the glasses, and there pens, and the note paper, haha! do they really expect people not to take them? its not stealing, your already paying like 100 dollars a night for the room, so hey.Do u take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from the hotel u stay at when u leave?
They can not be re used, so you need to take them.

There is way too much waste in this country, and things are going to have to turn around before our land fills are overflowing with unused shampoo bottles......(sorry, got carried away)

    anyway..

You paid for them, why leave them?
No. I usually bring my own shampoo and conditioner as the ones provided at the hotels are usually not good. I have taken a pillow or two. =)
No. They usually have the worst and cheapest ones ever. I bring my own body wash %26amp; shampoo conditioner whenever I stay at a hotel.
No, because once you use them once or twice it's too hard to squeeze the shampoo out of the little bottles and I always drop them in the shower O_O
    I take everything (%26gt;^_^)%26gt;

(Lol once i even took the lightbulb from the table lamp)
Usually no because I use them. Sometimes though their bottles have those tops that I love and then I take those for lotions or travel etc.
    You caught me.

I take them if they say the name of the hotel on them or if the bottles are cute.
    SHAW!

But, my lil sis usually takes the hand soap, she says they look good to eat but she ends up just staring and smelling them
    I take everything
    Yes.

Just for a little token of a memory.
    No.

    They're usually crappy.
    Sometimes....
nooo... 99 cent shampoo is like pantene compared to hotel shampoo
Definitely! We bring them home then they go into the ';guest'; drawer in the guest bathroom!
By the time I leave, the bottles are already empty.
well...somtimes, but either ways, my dad takes them
    Always.
No because I don't use them, I can only use a certain type of shampoo or it irritates my scalp.
Sometimes I take soaps or lotion, if the hotel has good brands.
yea i put them in my guest bathroom and have them for when people stay over and forget toiletries
Yep, I also take the extra toilet paper rolls too. Gotta keep my place stocked somehow.
    no not ussually
    yea, absolutely!
No they have crappy shamp/conditoner. I love picking out my own at the store.
    Yes, I always do.

I try to take whatever I can from hotel rooms. :P
    yeah :$

    lmaoo.

    it's like..

    a souvenir xD?
    always
Yea even though they suck lol.
No they are cheap and dry out your hair

Would you steal ketchup, sugar, shampoo, towels, soap, mini liquor bottles, or coffee from a hotel and why? ?

Now, I wanted to give you an ethical question, because it's been asked to me as well. What do think morally? Is it wrong or right and why? I personally wouldn't based on the fact that I do not need to do this, but I know some people might think differently. Come on drop a line and your thoughts. Anyone?Would you steal ketchup, sugar, shampoo, towels, soap, mini liquor bottles, or coffee from a hotel and why? ?
If I had used the shampoo or soap I may take the remainder of it because no one else would want to use it, but I don't think that is considered stealing when it is put there for that purpose. But the other items I would not.Would you steal ketchup, sugar, shampoo, towels, soap, mini liquor bottles, or coffee from a hotel and why? ?
i don't think that it is stealing if you take soap shampoo sugar or coffee from a hotel - you've paid for it. the towels, well, i supposed if i really needed towels i would, but it's kinda gross - who knows who has used them before you. mini liquor bottles? well, usually you have to pay for those and it ends up on your bill, so i wouldn't call it stealing. let's just put it this way. if i wanted and/or needed anything, i wouldn't hesitate to take it. i'm overpaying for the room in the first place, losing a sugar packet isn't going to destroy business.
if i could i would get the mini liquor bottles

No, you shouldn't take things that don't belong to you. And, who doesn't already have these things of their own?
Depends how drunk I was at the time.
I WOULD STEAL NEITHER BECAUSE IT DOESNT BELONG TO ME, SO WHY WOULD I TAKE?
nope don;t need any of that stuff, besides I was brought up not to take what is not yours..

If someone is low enough to sell it there are those gullible enough to buy it.

There is no need for a blesser no one will know if you actually bless it. Just set up a website full of fake stories and you are off to a good start preying on the weak minded grasping for hope.
    HOOOOOOOOCKKKKKKKKKKK... ACCKK... I'll bless it..

How do you use the new Toni and Guy shampoo/conditioner bottles?

Right, Toni and Guy recently did a redesign of their hair styling products range. The packaging is now in tall bottles rather than in the bags like it used to be. However I cannot for the life of me get the bottle pump to work on either my shampoo or conditioner, have I just got two bad pumps or is there some kind of trick to get them to start working? How do you use the new Toni and Guy shampoo/conditioner bottles?

I have expensive products that I dont wait to risk giving up and need on my trip to DC. Any comments? Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?
Your containers need to be less than 3.4 oz and secured in a zip loc bag no larger than 1 quart. Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?
Yes, you can bring all the liquids with you that you want as long as they are checked before you go through security. The rule only applies to carryon luggage.
yes as long as it is not in your carry-on. You can check your luggage with any of those.
well make sure its no glass if not you can take it but cant you just buy it on the way when you get there also mabey youll fine something better and cheper i no what you mean
Hairspray no. Shampoo and perfume ok. The internet can tell you more.
you can put it in your check in lugage instead of a carry on but if you bring it as a carry on make sure it is safley secured in a zip-lock baggy

Are you a shampoo plus conditioner user or do you like use separate bottles?

Definately seperate bottles. I have noticed that when I use the

2-in-1 bottles that they don't condition my hair very well. When I get out of the shower and try to brush my hair it is kinda tangly and it also feels a lot more dry. I like the seperate bottles because then I can decide how much conditioner I want. Are you a shampoo plus conditioner user or do you like use separate bottles?
2 in 1Are you a shampoo plus conditioner user or do you like use separate bottles?
using seperate bottles is preferably better, if u really care 4 ur hair.
It doesn't matter to me....they both get the job done.
I use seperate bottles. I think they work better.
i like to use seperate bottles
Separate bottles is better. Each product has to do its own thing. Dont use combinded bottles.

I esp. like Redken...expensive but always leave my hair looking healthy and nice.
You have to separate them. If you don't your hair will get all gross!
    seperate bottles
    separate bottles for sure!
Always use separates, I don't think those 2 in 1 bottles work!
    I switch back and forth.

Depends if my hair is dry or not when I'm done washing it..

If I'm in a hurry I use 2 in 1. Fructis By Garnier two in one really works! you should try it!
    No, I prefer separate bottles.
You gotta keep um separated. Heh.
Separate bottles work better since they each can concentrate on their own jobs more. But if I'm in a rush, I use 2-in-1.
i have used the 2 in 1 but i rather use them seperately...the conditioner works better when they are seperate
    separate, I cant find a Good 2 in 1.

The conditioners in them are not good enough to untangle our hair.
Separate...I wash/rinse...then put on conditioner and leave it on while I wash my body...then rinse conditioner off last thing before I turn off the shower.

I've never found any of the 2-in-1 products that worked well for me.
I prefer seperate bottles. It seems to work better that way. The 2 in 1 just never did it for me.
yes. the ones that are combined aren't worth anything.
I like to use Finesse Shampoo and conditioner. I tried the shampoo plus conditioner, but it didn't work as well. I have really long curly hair, and I need a good conditioner.
i must be honest that it depends where I am.

If i am at home I like to use 2 seperate bottles but if I am on holiday I like to use a combined cleanser... its a laziness thing i think
I use seperate bottles..... So that I have the right combo for my hair type..... Unless I am traveling. Then I make my own mixture of shampoo/conditioner in an empty bottle. That way it takes up less room in my overnight bag.
separate,so i can controle the amount of conditioner
    I use shampoo plus conditioner
I use a shampoo with built in conditioner. I'm too lazy to do all the separate steps.
Deffinitely separate bottles. Because using the 2 in1 doesn't have the affect that separate does. Conditioner actually takes out shampoo so they are actually working against each other and it drys your hair out.
I like it in one bottle. It makes my life simple.
Separate products please! Conditioning shampoo doesn't get the tangles out which is why I do separate.
personally I cannot use the mixed kind. the conditioner in the mix is not enough.
I use separated bottles bacause my hair is greasy, i think depending on your type of hair you can use separates or 2 in 1.
  • makeup powder
  • In the shower I have a bar of soap and shampoo. Why do women have 15 other bottles to use?

Are women just suckers for marketing? We have the same hair and skin. My hair and skin is lovely if you ask me lol (I'm a male). So why do women need so many products?

I kinda know the answer but like to ask these type of questions. lolIn the shower I have a bar of soap and shampoo. Why do women have 15 other bottles to use?
I have four items in the shower:

Baby wash - I need something very gentle for my face

    Body wash

    Shampoo

    Conditioner

That's it.In the shower I have a bar of soap and shampoo. Why do women have 15 other bottles to use?
I'm 22, female, live by myself, have one bar of soap for my face, one bar of soap for my body and a moisturizing shampoo, no need for conditioner really. A lot of my friends have soo many bottles of special conditioners and shampoos for their ';hair types'; but really it all works the same unless you have colored hair, then it needs a little more upkeep. Other than that I agree with you, it's silly :P
WELL, i have shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment, facial cleaner, facial scrub, body wash, and body scrub.

And no its not because im a sucker for marketing. The treatment is because i have bleached the crap out of my hair, therefore it is quite dry. The cleanser, well, i wear makeup and soap is too harsh for my face. Scrub, to make my face glowy, body wash, again, soap just dries my skin out, and scrub because it makes me all soft and smooth :o).

Men dont care about all that crap, which is why you only have the basics
first off everyone, male or female, has different skin, remember that we r all individuals thing? well its true. The reason women do buy more is because they r trying to fix the individual flaws of themselves and since most women feel keeping their appearance in good condition is important, they invest in those things more often than males do. also we tend to have more hair to take care of
    Hahahahahaha!!!

You're generalizing. But I'd agree that the majority of women could have more products than males. But I'm only limited to what I've seen first hand. I personally have more products that most guys I would imagine. Variety is good. Marketing or not.

And some people DO need more variety than others. I think variety can help with anything... hair, skin, teeth, etc...
Us girls have all these shower gels and body washes and face scrubs, and a different scent of shampoo for each day of the week. Theres more in my shower but that's all i can name right noww. and you guys just care about getting clean, you don't really care if you smell like lilac and rose petal.
Don't generalize, am a girl and i only have 1 bottle of shower gel. 2 shampoos tho but only because one is for dyed hair, the other is for dandruff. So I guess if i didn't have dandruff i'd be left with just 1 bottle of shampoo too
Well haha yeah we do fall for everything.

Like I try use what I think is the best shampoo and conditioner PLUS a deep condition treatment. Plus the best smelling body wash and stuff.

    My hair..is like soo soft.

Basically, I think I look better when I use all that.
why are you so judgmental? why are you making so many generalisations? these are also interesting questions.

in the shower i have bars of solid shampoo, solid conditioner, solid moisturizer and soap.

women in general are under a lot more pressure from marketing, unless you have been in the same position you really shouldn't judge. it is also more accepted if women want to indulge themselves in products, but that doesn't mean they all do. i love my soaps, so i buy them, other women like deep conditioning treatments, so they buy them, it's simple really.
Come on,dude!! We are women, do we have a reason??!!!

We like our hair to be shiny, and soft, and sexy.

You have to have great hair.

    You just do!!!!
women are sensitive inside and out.

not every bar soap or shampoo can give them soft skin.

some won't even wash off the dirt.

you are lucky cause your women is clean and doesn't smell like a guy.

    guys are made rough!
because women like to smell different sometimes. don't you get tired of smelling the same all the time?
Because it's not true that all people have the same type of hair and skin. Some are more sensitive than others.
i don't use that many. i just use either 2 in 1 or shampoo and conditioner and a bar of soap
because some days you might want to use a different scent or type of hair shampoo and body wash lol :))
i know what u mean. i trip over on all the bottle in the shower
dude... are you gay? none of us talk about stuff like that....

    Aussie big bottles of shampoo?

Do you run out of conditioner or shampoo sooner? (If you start with both bottles full at the same time.) ?

Always run out of conditioner first...I have long hair and I need lots of conditioner. I now buy the small bottle of shampoo with the bigger bottle of conditioner to solve all of my problems!Do you run out of conditioner or shampoo sooner? (If you start with both bottles full at the same time.) ?
Shampoo.I use a lot of it.I shampoo my hair three times a day. I rarely use conditioners.Only if I am going out.I rarely go out of the house.Nowadays my mom buys two in one.So ummm...both?Do you run out of conditioner or shampoo sooner? (If you start with both bottles full at the same time.) ?
Always always always conditioner - I'm always left with bottles of shampoo with a third still in them - annoying =[[
Conditioner- I use a full 8oz glass after every shampooing.
My hair is so thick I always need to use more conditioner so I always end up with half a bottle of shampoo left when I run out of conditioner ;)
I always run out of conditioner first. Now I get a bigger bottle of conditioner than shampoo.
LOL I always run out of conditioner first, and then I buy more... and then shampoo runs out so I need more conditioner... lol it's a vicious cycle!
conditioner first. i have a bunch of half used shampoo's that i forget about cuz i usually just buy new s%26amp;c at the same time
Conditioner. I use SO much conditioner in the shower.
    Usually shampoo
    Conditioner !
    Conditioner......
    Shampoo

I try not to use too much conditioner. Sometimes I shampoo twice.
    Conditioner.
    Conditioner.
Conditioner, because I use more of it than shampoo, since my hair is curly, and I just need a lot.
I run out of shampoo sooner, I only use a tiny bit of conditioner.
    Conditioner..

For some reason I always condition twice.. :
    |ha that's funny! Conditioner always, crazy isn't it.
I ALWAYS run out of shampoo first !

I have bottles of conditioner that are two years old and still about 1/2 full !!
    conditioner hjsaha
conditioner. i always use more .=]
    shampoo always faster then conditioner
    shampoo
    shampoo...
i always finish the conditioner first. i go thru a bottle in 2 weeeks
shampoo. Because sometimes I don't condition my hair and I like making beards out of the suds from my shampoo so I use a lot of it.
I always run out of conditioner first, I guess I should get the bigger bottle....
Mine runs out at same time as I use Pert 2 in 1.
yea, the one im using now only has couple drops left, but i have a new one ready. shampoo btw.
No and it always aggravates me! I run out of conditioner first. I use it up faster than my shampoo.

What is the question?Shampoo an conditioner bottles?
What do you want to know about? I'm a hairdresser, just let me know.

Does anybody use lush bottled shampoos? which one is bes for my hair type?

i have VERY thin hair with no volume, at the end of the day it gets greasy!!

how long did the shampoo last you?Does anybody use lush bottled shampoos? which one is bes for my hair type?
Have you tried Lush's Big? I've heard excellent reviews on it plus it's great for volumizing.

I've been using Lush's bar shampoo in Squeeky Green. Really love it. My hair can get very oily, and this creates a foamy lather and gets it clean.Does anybody use lush bottled shampoos? which one is bes for my hair type?
Aussie hair shampoo is a great volumizer... and it smells great!

Do not do Panten Pro-V it will dry it out and make it tangled.

When shampooing your hair, do you follow the instructions on the bottle, ';rinse and repeat';?

Yea.... it gets tiring after the 7th or 8th time though so I always have to stop. When shampooing your hair, do you follow the instructions on the bottle, ';rinse and repeat';?
I once was a beautician and we used to shampoo and rinse the hair twice for each patron but in 1984 it was said there's a water problem so we could only shampoo the hair once. So for my own hair I started only shampooing and washing it once, then putting the cream rinse on it then rinsing it off. That's enough wasted water. When shampooing your hair, do you follow the instructions on the bottle, ';rinse and repeat';?
No, b/c I have to dilute all the shampoo B4 putting it into a pump bottle.

There's a reason for this that's not worth mentioning here.

But since shampoo is diluted, I have to keep washing %26amp; rinsing until I get a foam. Then I know I have gotten all of the products out of my hair.

After my last rinse, I spray a diluted vinegar onto my hair to close the hair shaft cuticle. Then I rinse that out %26amp; I'm done.

My hair dries smooth %26amp; shiny.
Only if I have a build-up of styling products otherwise, no. I can easily tell because if the shampoo doesn't lather much, that means I need to repeat it. I think those instructions were put on the bottles so that the consumer would use more of the product.
No. I wash my hair every day so there's no need for double latherings. In fact, I only really ';scrub'; my scalp a couple times a week. The other days I just put a drop of shampoo in my palms and go over just the surface of the hair to freshen it.
I surely do %26amp; I learned the importance of doing so when I went to Cosmetology school. The first shampooing removes all the dirt, oil, styling aids, etc. from the hair. The second shampooing cleans the hair.
Yes, the first time takes a little extra shampoo to remove the oils and products used on the hair. The second lathering takes less shampoo. Rinse and repeater here.
Shampooing isn't very good for your hair. It strips all the vitamins and essentials out. Having greasy hair might seem gross, but it's actually good for your hair.
Don't need shampoo at all now

    lol
No. I would have to be in the shower for the rest of my life. It doesn't tell you how many times to do this. LOL
honey never give anyone too much credit for common sense i have had patients complain that the supossitories they were taking tasted horrible....i think you can figure out the end of this tale...pardon the pun...
I only shampoo once and then rinse and use a conditioner then rinse.
My hair is short so I wash once and rinse. I am bad about not following directions on anything. I guess I must think I know it all. Poppy
    Yes I actually do.

I always wash and rinse twice.
I don't use hair spray....conditioner or gel...so one good shampooing is enough.

No I don't rinse and repeat.

    +
Nope. Once is sufficient. The only reason that instruction is there is to get us to buy more shampoo.
    nope. never have.
No, but I wash it more often than the instructions advise.
Nope, repeating removes too much oil and dries the hair out.
No but then I don't have a whole lot of hair, so once is enough.
    No once is enough
    No. Why waste shampoo?

Can i bring my regular sized shampoo (herbal essences) and proactiv bottles on a flight?

Sure you can in your checked baggage - can't take it in your carry on though. Remember not to exceed your baggage weight limits though - they are getting strict with that and if your bag is over the limit they will charge you. Take smaller travel sizes - you can get refillable bottles from your local drug store or dollar mart or WalMart. And remember if you forget it at home you can always buy what you need in most place you are going. Good luck and have a great trip! Can i bring my regular sized shampoo (herbal essences) and proactiv bottles on a flight?
no all liquids have to fit in a 3oz bottle for carryone anyway. i think its stupid that i cant even bring the water im driking on bored b/c it might be a bomb. thats why a like to take the train. you can get up and walk around without 18 people geting ready to takle you. stupid FAA a****** 2#$%%26amp;?!!! alright im done. but seriously its really is rediculas have bad these restrictions are. plus trains are more fuel efficenat. Can i bring my regular sized shampoo (herbal essences) and proactiv bottles on a flight?
You can pack them in your checked suitcase, but you are not allowed more than 3 oz of liquid in your carry on
You can, but only in checked luggage. For carry on, you are limited to 3oz. each.

Bottles of water + shampoo in luggage allowed if check-in?

are bottles of water and shampoo, facewash, etc..

allowed in my luggage if I check them in?Bottles of water + shampoo in luggage allowed if check-in?
they won't let you bring the water in. they'll have you throw it out but you can bring it on if you buy it at the stands after you go through security.

i would pack the shampoo and face wash in the check-on bag.

if its over 3. grams of liquid they don't allow it on a carry on bag.

I need tips on how to ship a box full of large bottles of shampoos, conditioners, and lotions?

I need to ship a large box full of large bottles of shampoos, conditioners, lotions and other similar tolitries. The box is going overseas and I would really like it if everything arrived in good condition without everything exploded all over the place. I was planning on just putting everything in plastic ziploc bags, but if anyone has a lot of experience shipping this type of thing, please if you have any good tips, I would really appreciate it. ThanksI need tips on how to ship a box full of large bottles of shampoos, conditioners, and lotions?
you need to tape off all the lids so there is no possible way they could open. then, wrap everything individually in about two or three layers of bubble wrap and two or three layers of newspaper. i suggest lining the bottom of the box with packing pellets, then putting everything in, then adding more pellets. make sure the box is packed tight enough, this will prevent things from getting jostled around.

it's a good idea to be extra careful when packing things, esp when they are going overseas, because they aren't going to exactly handle your stuff with care. hope this helps.I need tips on how to ship a box full of large bottles of shampoos, conditioners, and lotions?
go to your local convienience store or ABC store, and ask if they have a box with cardboard bottle separators in it. You can put the bottles and things in separate slots and just fill the empty space with paper, packing it all in well, and you should have no problem.
buy the packaging peanuts they help so they won't move and it buffers a hit like if the package falls on the floor or is being crushed by another box

g'day according to the TSA who set the standards for all international flights world wide 3oz or small is required see link below, but flying from Santiago Chile to Brazil then onward from Sao Paulo to the USA this was not the case , I found the rules were quite different where it wasn't required to show my clear plastic containing my carry on liquids before flying [May 2007]
No, you cant bring big bottles of shampoo with you in your carry on bag, but you can bring them if you put it in your checked luggage (the ones that you have to check in at the ticket counter)
Yep, most things are fine in your checked luggage, with the exception of explosives and hazardous/flammable materials. Look at TSA's website www.tsa.gov to see the complete rules.
Yes, you can check in any size bottles you want, just don't go over the weight restriction for the check in!!

You need to seek professional help. A.S.A.P.
you must be really lonely...... and besides men have their hands.
    ..........

    is your question serious?

    :-/
really, you have too much time on your hands to think up something like that.
hey! why didn't i think of that?

What does the ';12m'; label stand for on bottles of shampoo, deoderant and other toiletries?

If you're talking about the little symbol that looks like an open pot then its the expiry time. Basically it means it should be used within that time ie. 12M = 12 months. Some make-ups and other facial creams have a shorter expiration time. The products can still be used after this time but are not always at their best. What does the ';12m'; label stand for on bottles of shampoo, deoderant and other toiletries?
if it's on a thing that looks like an open pot, then it needs to be used within 12months of opening (the number does actually vary)What does the ';12m'; label stand for on bottles of shampoo, deoderant and other toiletries?
it has to be used within 12 months :)
That they need to be used within 12 months
    12 m stands for 12month once opened .
Its how many milliliters are in the bottle.
I would say that its the ';use by date'; for the product from the date of opening.
if you mean about the 12m that looks as if its inside a little tub that is how long the product lasts before it goes out of date
  • makeup powder
  • What does the ';e'; of the bottles of shampoo, deodorant or whatever stand for? as in - 500 ml e -?

stands for exception, it might be just a little be more or a little bit less

thanks rex liked the questionWhat does the ';e'; of the bottles of shampoo, deodorant or whatever stand for? as in - 500 ml e -?
gives the manufacturer a little bit of tolerance.

So 500ml would have to be just that. With the ';e'; it can be just above/ below that measurement.

How many different bottles of shampoo, shower gels, conditioners, soaps do you have in your shower?

OH GOD!!! Since I worked in a professional beauty supply/salon for 10 yrs I have TONS of great hair stuff...Shampoos, conditioners, styling aids, styling tools and more hairbrushes than a whole small country. Most of the stuff from the suppliers, I never had to pay much. Not to mention all the cool sample packets I save for traveling. I have some of the best shower gels and lotions, powders and sunblock products, too. My fave is a shampoo and a lotion that smell just like CHOCOLATE!!!! I kid you not. Its a kids line but i like it too. They also have Root Bear shower gel... 4 bottles of body wash

    All together 9 bottles

How frequent does 'for frequent use' mean on shampoo bottles?

Just out of curiousity. And also cos I've been using Fructus for a while but I don't wash my hair that often, probably every 3-4days, and was wondering if that was ';frequent'; enough cos it doesn't seem to be making my rough, frizzy %26amp; extremely wavy hair any better. How frequent does 'for frequent use' mean on shampoo bottles?
once a dayHow frequent does 'for frequent use' mean on shampoo bottles?
Well first get a different hair product and it might change that; becuase your hair might react to that shampoo. If you want straight hair I reccommend herbal esscence pin straight shampoo following the conditionar. I would say to wash your hair every other day beacuase if you wash your hair to much it can loose healthy oils and makes your product less effective. Oh and before using the herbal esscence use nexus humectress ultimate moisturizing conditionar (found at salons) and a frizz control shampoo for 2-4 weeks depening on reaction. If you want voulmus hair try herbal esscence body envy volumizing shampoo. But i personally like straight hair so I don't even bother with knowing how to have my hair curly.
Frequent use means people who wash their hair on either a daily basis or at least every other day. You've got the wrong end of the stick slightly, a 'frequent use' shampoo is a light formula which isn't really designed as a treatment shampoo of any kind, it's just for people who wash their hair a lot. You should switch to a shampoo for frizzy or ';dry'; hair, this will be more conditioning and taming on your hair.
Frequent use shampoo's should be kinder on the hair but they aren't, not really. Hair shouldn't be washed every day, I would see if you can find a shampoo for dry or damaged hair by the sound of yours.

Also ensure you use a good rich conditioner, as a hairdresser I would obviously recommend salon products, but tresemme is excellent, and I do use it for me and the family.

I don't think it's your hair I think it's the shampoo.. You should invest in a salon branded shampoo.. Like Joico or Biolage. I have frizzy and curly hair and I really like both of these and they are concentrated so they last for a very long time! Good Luck!
You shouldn't wash your hair everyday (comment to another poster).

Every other day is ';frequent'; and good for your hair.
It means everyday or everyother day.
at least every other day is what they're saying....but most of us wash our hair EVERYDAY.

Can I bring more little Shampoo bottles on an airplane than one or two? I'll be gone for two weeks!?

I'm going straight to a college, and I don't have a car, so I can't go to the store or whatever.

Can I also bring a hair-dryer and a straightener in my luggage?

I don't want to pack any more stuff in my carry-on!Can I bring more little Shampoo bottles on an airplane than one or two? I'll be gone for two weeks!?
You can take LARGE bottles of shampoo , etc in your checked luggage...or buy it when you arrive. in your CARRY-ON luggage, you may carry one 1 quart sized zip lock bag with as many 3 oz bottles of liquid as you can fit in it. But since you won't be using shampoo while you are flying...that is not really a big problem. Yes, you can take your dryer and straightener in your checked luggage. See site below for more guidance. Anything that is NOT listed as restricted, is allowed. Can I bring more little Shampoo bottles on an airplane than one or two? I'll be gone for two weeks!?
hey this has NOTHING to do with this question..but for your last question about that one movie with the piano teacher and the group of kids that play around, and stumble upon this mansion where they hear music.. half of the guys face is deformed, or burnt? This movie is called RIGOLETTO!!!! =D Report Abuse

Yes you can pack them in your luggage. Yes you cna bring more, but just remember that you are only limited to one bag. Bag as in all your liquid items need to be in 3oz containers, fitted all in one average sized Ziploc bag. Just remember that you can buy more at the airport, etc. You can also bring a bag, other than your luggage. (2 bags total: one luggage, and one purse.)
One further tip if you are taking bottles of things like shampoo and other such liquids. Before packing open them, and empty a bit of of each so there is some space in each.

The change in air pressure can cause liquids to expand and contract and if there is no room it *can* cause the bottle to leak. If you want to be extra cautious then pack them in a zip-lock plastic bag - the last thing you want is all your clothes and other things covered in a gooey mess of shampoo!

    Enjoy your trip
Your shampoo has to be stored in 3-ounce containers that fit in a 1-quart clear bag.Plus you has to remove the bags that hold liquids from their carry-ons so they can go through X-ray machines separately and be inspected by screeners. You can only carry one bag, which can hold a couple 3-ounce containers.
I'm sure you can pack them in your luggage. But I wouldn't recommend packing all that stuff in a carry-on. Check out the TSA website. They have a list of things that you can and can't carry-on.
Sure, you can bring all of that stuff in your checked baggage. There is no liquids limitation on checked baggage.

If you want to bring the shampoo on the plane, the bottles need to be three ounces or less, and all fit into one one-quart ziplock bag.

    Arguing over shampoo bottles.?

Please give your honest opinion. My husband get very annoyed when I leave shampoo, body wash, and other containers ';open'; in the shower. He says they can fall over and spill out, or water can get it. It's a pet peeve with him, and we've had lots of arguments over this.

I find it hard to open some bottles after they're closed, especially with wet hands. They hurt your fingers! Besides, I've just got the flip cap open, and just a bit. It's not that I take the whole cap off and leave the bottles completely open so you can stick your fingers in.

I've stayed over at many friends' houses with...guess what?...open shampoo bottles. It hardly seems like a big deal. Apparently everyone does it.

Does anyone think he's being ridiculous? Or am I being childish and irresponsible? Is this something worth arguing about? Saying (in a fairly mad way) I can tell when you've been taking a shower, all the bottles are open!)

Do you leave your shampoo bottles open, or closed?

    Thanks!Arguing over shampoo bottles.?
Get the pump style containers. Even if you have to buy them separately and put your product inside. Problem solved!

As for arguing over this, it doesn鈥檛 speak all that well for your relationship to not be able to resolve this amicably or without upsetting each other. Hopefully you two will learn to respect each other鈥檚 differences and remember that each of you are going to have to make adjustments to live together harmoniously. Just remember, you may not get everything you want, just as long as you get what you need.Arguing over shampoo bottles.?
I'm not really sure. I think if the cap flips all the way back, I probably close them, but if it just raises up about a quarter inch so the cap is tilted I leave it tilted. It would only bother me if the cap came completely off.

Is it worth arguing about? No. I'd just close the caps if it bothers him that much. Then when he does something that annoys you, you can remind him that you now close the caps so could he please do ';this'; for you.
I hate open containers in the bath area or anywhere else in the house, because yes, they get knocked over accidentally and make a mess that I have to waste my precious time cleaning up. Have you ever had to clean up shampoo from a shower or bathtub? Its not an easy chore.

In fact I'm so picking about this that I habitually screw back the cap on soda bottles that I'm drinking, every time after I take a sip.
there is something else that is gnawing him

as arguing over a friggin shampoo bottle,

and what is he too lazy to close them while he is there?

i can see if you wrecked his newly bought Ferrari Enzo, that worth arguing even killing for and maybe even justifiable in court, but a shampoo bottle

your man has got some issues

either OCD or something else is bugging him, it sounds like the classic socks on the floor gateway argument, in that the socks are not the issue, something else is
Close them. You seriously get in arguments over this though? Maybe he just thinks you can't even listen to a small thing and it pisses him off because of that. The small things just annoy the crap out of us. We are detail oriented most the time. I have never seen people leave the bottles open. I don't want it to get all funky either. It hurts your fingers? Where did this guy find you anyways?
    I leave mine closed!

I wouldn't like that either if someone left them open.

It just looks messy, I'm a perfectionist though and everything has to be perfect to me.

Just close the bottles, I'm sure that it really bothers him if he's said something about it, if it didn't, he wouldn't have said something to you.

You would be surprised how much the small things can really bother someone.

If it's that hard, get Aussie, they have the pump kind. Problem solved =)
I don't use your type of shampoo bottles, my shampoo bottle is the one when you press and it comes out... well, i hate it when my sister dont put on the cap of the toothpaste... can't blame your husband though... well, if your husband doesn't likes it, try to keep the caps on, it's more organized in a way
I close them. What's wrong with opening the flip caps before you get into the shower, and closing them when you are done? If it's that important to him, why not accommodate him? There are much more important things in life - and if you wanted him to do something, you'd want him to listen to you. It makes for a happy marriage.
Wow that's a ridiculous thing to fight about. Would having your own shampoo and conditioner bottles, seperate from his, help the situation? That way if you guys keep your own toiletries seperate, he can keep his bottles closed and you can keep yours open. That way everyone's happy
WOW! Thats a pet peeve of mine to! I hate seeing open containers all over the place! And when I take a shower... I find no difficulty opening a shampoo or whatever you use bottle. Maybe you have really sensitive fingers....? Perhaps before you go to bathe you could open the shampoo bottles and then when you are done you could close them?
Your not using your head to think with, there's a very simple solution to solve your problem. Its not worth the argument.

They make dispensers for the shower, take a moment to please him and at the same time you'll have the amenities you need at hand. Both will be happy in the long run.

    Mine are closed.
I can see your husband's point because they can leak, but so what! No one's going to get hurt over it. I leave mine open too for the same reasons you stated. Just tell him to get over it because you're going to leave them open. Not to hurt his feelings, but for the reasons you stated.
i see where you both are coming from...

some shampoo and soap bottles hurt my fingers..

but i do hate when someone in my family keeps it open and it drops and it all spills out...

i guess but soap that isnt hard to open lol....there really is no solution if you both like it your way
Rather than offer an answer I am going to offer a solution - why don't the two of you have your own shampoo in the shower? That way he can keep his closed and doesn't have to worry about you leaving them open, etc.
i want to leave my shampoo bottles open too. it hurts my finger when i open them because i have really really long nails. but i still close them because my aunt would get mad and tell this and that and blah blah blah. so id better be closing it.
I totally see your point and I totally see his point.

Compromise..........use shampoo that has a pump on it.

Shampoo and Conditioner at Costco. Big bottles with a pump. No open lids, no chance of ';spills';.

    Good luck.
Tell him to GROW up and deal with it!!

Unless he has OCD then wtffff

    OMFG... :/

THIS IS DEFFINATELY NOT SOMETHING WORTH ARGUING ABOUT!!!!!

There are people dying all over the world of hunger, who couldn't afford the shampoo we have if they wanted to...
I think you are both ridiculous. Go find a pump bottle and put your shampoo in that then you can both be happy.
OMG this is stupid. You need to tell him to go to Lowes and buy the container that you dispense in so he will stop his crying. And you married him knowing he is like this????????????
If this is the biggest issue in your marriage......consider yourselves very lucky. Now go kiss and make up with your husband.
that is just a really stupid thing to argue about. btw i close mine but thats just cause im anal about everything being just right lol, but it still wouldnt bother me if they were left open
I don't even pay that much attention to it so im guessing i leave them open! flip caps wont pour out if left open! I dont know certain things bug certain people! Not worth arguing about!
Look here woman close them caps quit leaving them open lol
Oh God, you have an OCD man on your hands. My suggestion- start buying your own shampoo and conditioner and tell him not to worry about what happens with your products.
closed but i understand ur problemo
    i leave them closed
I close mine, but only because I leave them upside down. A pet peeve is a pet peeve and is his to have, but no I do not think you are being childish. You argument is reasonable, there are certain bottles that hurt my fingers as well, like the one on the face wash. I do have to say though that water does tend to get into even slightly opened bottles, but only if you put in a place where water falls. My best advice is to buy containers with screw on lids and transfer your shampoo and conditioner. There is no use in arguing over something the has such a simple fix. :)
my husband and I both leave our bottles closed

(I've never talked to him about it because I've never thought of it before,

so I don't know why he closes them

however I always close them because I don't like water getting in the bottle)

I do think it is a bit of a silly thing for you both to argue about

wasting precious time on something so trivial

you could instead be spending quality time showing affection to one another

there are so many simpler solutions than arguing:

1- you could switch to a bottle that is easier to open with slippery hands

2- you could get two separate bottles of each item:

one set of bottles for you to leave open and one set of bottles for him to keep closed

3- you could open all the bottles before you shower and close them after you shower

(so you don't have to struggle to open them with slippery hands and

he doesn't have to get upset when they are left open)
I close mine and I'm with him, why can't you just close them? It takes a mere second to close something after you open it. We have four kids and I have had to clean up spills both in and out of the tub from bottles left open. I find it annoying and wasteful.

Maybe he's more like me? lol...I've been accused of having OCD when it comes to stuff like this :|

Unlike your husband, I don't complain (often....I have gone off a few times) I just go around closing bottles (and open cabinet doors, drawers, cereal boxes, jars...I just realized...maybe this is why I'm tired? lol)

You might find it ridiculous but apparently, he doesn't. When you live with other people, compromise is a must.
hey, once i got into a huge fight with my boyfriend OVER THE LETTER E! yes yes, so i know stupid fights. well i cant say either of you are right, since some of my bottles i keep open for the reasons you say, and other ones i keep closes. i think the best way to resolve it is to get pumps for your products, so he cant complain! its also easier and you dont drop the bottle ;] you can buy the pumps at and sally's beauty store, thats where i got mine.
I prefer them to be closed, as I don't like it when water gets into the containers. That said, I can understand how bickering over little differences like that might become maddening. May I suggest a compromise? Pick up a shower dispenser that you can put the shampoo, conditioner and soap in. Then you'll both be happy. You fill the dispenser, then push a button to dispense whichever product you want. That way no water will get into the products and they won't spill, which will make your husband happy. Dispensing the products will be as simple as pushing a button so there won't be any containers to open, which will make you happy. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Do hotels reuse those little shampoo - conditioner - lotion bottles?

I don't think they reuse them. I hope not.

I know at restaurants they purchase large containers of catchup, salt, etc. and refill the small containers that are on the tables.

    SO

I wouldn't be surprised if hotels buy in large quantities and buy small bottles and fill them up.

Sean if you keep using the secret word then it's not a secret anymore! :) I'd be happy to donate old shampoo bottles to your wifey-poo, just email me a post office to send them too.
Sure... make sure they get some soap, too.

Why when you buy the pair, shampoo bottles are right side up, yet conditioner is upside down?

because the conditioner is thicker...so it will come out better...I guessWhy when you buy the pair, shampoo bottles are right side up, yet conditioner is upside down?
woah. i've never thought about that. but know that i think about it its like woahh weird. Why when you buy the pair, shampoo bottles are right side up, yet conditioner is upside down?
sorry,,i have no idea. but a very good quest. !!! by the way, just realized your naked under that sexy thing ????? nice !!!!
so the conditionar doesnt have to talk to the shampoo since they hate their guts, always fighting about who is better:

Mr.Shampoo-- cleans and gets dirt out

Mr. Conditionar: makes smooth and makes frizzies go away

    WHO KNOWS?
becuase conditoner it sorta harder to get out of a bottle so they make the conditioner upside down so you can get the conditioner our easily.....shampoo flows a lot easier....its like less gooish if that makes any sense....
Free your mind and the rest will follow.
Im offended by this question. LOL
    because conditioner is thicker.
to tell the diff between the 2 i guess.
The conditioner is thicker and needs to flow downward

  • Can shampoo bottles be recycled?

last time i saw one that couldn't was back in '89

so yesCan shampoo bottles be recycled?
Some can. Look on the bottom of the bottle to find the triangle with the number then go to www.earth911.com and put your zip and plastic # you find on the bottle and see if you can find a recycle center in your area. Try to buy products with #1 plastic it is easiest to recycle. Can shampoo bottles be recycled?
Shampoo bottles are typically number 2 type plastic, HDPE, High Density Polyethylene and along with type 1, PETE (pop bottles) are a very desirable plastic as far as plastics go so please recycle them. This type of plastic recycles very, very well.
you can figure that out by looking at the bottom of the bottle if it has a triangle with a number on the bottom of it than yes it can be.
They can be re-used as containers for other liquids (not consumable ones) maybe art purposes or cleaning tough grimes, etc.
As long as there is a triangle on the bottom, plastic can be recycled.
ya i think so. cheek and see if it has the recycling sign on it.
Yes, i say so because as long as its plastic and that u clean it, there shouldnt be an issue!
    YES THEY R!!
    Yes they can

Tesco's restrict to 6 bottles of shampoo/condition per person, why?

It was buy one get one free on hair shampoo / conditioner from tesco's so I thought to stock up. However, they would only allow me to buy 6 at one time. It was not because it was buy one get one free, she said it was policy with shampoo/conditioners. Anybody know why? - This is in the UK btw. Thanks :)Tesco's restrict to 6 bottles of shampoo/condition per person, why?
There are two possibilities that present themselves

Big shops like Tescos and Asda have certain loss-making goods on sale to tempt you through their doors (called loss-leaders).

Obviously they don't want to sell too many things that will cost them money.

Also. it might be possible to sell these goods on at a profit.

Don't worry - you can go through the tills as many times as you like, providing you only buy the number of goods the store limit you to. If the stuff is in your bag, they can't easily look inside.

Reading material while your on the toilet

also--one of my past room mates was completely stupid and needed those directions
Funny they put them on mine too.

I'm sure it's to make sure that everyone knows what you're supposed to do with the contents. Wouldn't want someone lathering, rinsing and then wetting would we?
Yep - litigious people! They'd sue the company if there weren't directions. Sad as that is ...
Because most people have absolutely NO COMMON SENSE.

Like that dumbass woman who sued Mc D's because her coffee was hot. F-ing DUHH!!!
cuz there are always people who have never shampood before. there are a shitload of babies born everyday, do they know how to shampoo??? nooooooo
So you don't try to use it as ice cream topping. Some shampoo smells good enough that you might want to.
just in case you forget how to use them.... and they completely forgot that you use reading glasses....
I think they are required to by law.

Can't have people not knowing how to use their shampoo! LOL :)
hha yeah. do you really need directions for shampooing?? its like the directions on a poptart box!
For those idiots that have never used shampoo I guess
LOL, elenn degeneres has a great bit of stand-up about this, but i know its really stupid...
because there are still people out there who don't know how to use shampoo.. and soap too obviously
same reason they inform us that this product should not be taken internally....Really???

because there are people out there who are idiots...sad but true
    cause america is so litigious
To save themselves from being sued.
    lmfao yeah they actually do.
so people will know which end to open.
    Just for ignorant people!
    Awesome, you get a star!
Why do they put ';Not for oral use'; on Preparation H?
it gives you something to read while taking a poop
just in case for the dudes who think it is an energy drink ;)
incase you put it on the wrong head
because if they didn't someone would find a way to sue them.
believe me there are some dumb asses around thats why
because i can never if what comes after Lather. is it repeat or BBQ?

    Hello Male17 Tornoto

    Yes. Shampoo Bottle is Recycleable.

    Mr.Male17 Tornoto

Please do simple Method in your Day To Day like.

    1. Try to reduce the usage of PLASTICS/BOTTLES/SILCONE ITEMS/ALUMINIUM TINS ETC in your Day to Day life.

2.Try to SAVE WATER/GAS/PETROL/DIESEL/ELECTRICITY/Pape鈥? in your House and work place.

3.Now a days Plastic Bags become necessary for our life.

But they are spoiling our Air %26amp; Water and also spoling our Health also.
Yes they are made of plastic and can be ground down and made into more plastic for use in other bottles for shampoo. Just rinse it out before you throw it out.
***Yes, it's recyclable. Awhile back consumers though you couldn't recycle the container and Pert was bad to use because of the chemicals in the bottle. I called the recycling company when this was going around.

SLS/SLES or SLS/ALES was though to harm the atmosphere thus contaminating the bottle making the bottle un-recyclable - ALL UNTRUE...

*** Do your products contain SLS/SLES or ALS/ALES?

We typically use Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS) and Ammonium Laureth Sulfate (ALES) as the cleaning and lathering agents in our shampoos but Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are also common ingredients. We're not aware of any harmful effects associated with the use of ALS/ALES or SLS/SLES in consumer products. These supposed safety concerns stem from some misquoted research and have no scientific basis.

The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR), an outside panel of experts that reviews ingredient safety for the entire cosmetic industry, evaluated the safety of SLS/SLES over 15 years ago. Their assessment showed SLS/SLES is safe for use in cosmetic products. Its findings were reported in the Journal of America College of Toxicology (volume 2, issue 5, 1983). The CIR is a program of the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA), a US trade association. For further information, you can contact CTFA at 202-331-1770 or visit their web site at www.ctfa.org.
it depend on where you are and what your local recycle factilies can handle but i think number two are pretty standard in most places.

if your from toronto like your name says then yes it is for sure
Most certainly in almost all locations that I know of.

(Check your local recycling guide to ensure)

It would be a sin not to recycle what can be recycled.
    no
    no
Depends on your recyclers guidelines - most allow ones and twos--- but not all.
    Of course they are!!!!!!
They are where I live (see below), so I imagine your area has the same facilities.
well it depends on how long you keep the bottle...recycle it for like until you finish another shampoo bottle then throw the old one cuz recycling bottles for a long time can cause cancer
    yes it is

On shampoo bottles...what does it mean by 25% free?

it means that it has 25% more than the original amount in the bottle for the same price as the originalOn shampoo bottles...what does it mean by 25% free?
think like this - normally you will get 100ml. for that price. Now u got 125ml. for the same price.]

i think it means that you get more shampoo for the same price

I saw peter coppola shampoo on sale today at TJMaxx...it was 10 bucks for a big bottle. I was wondering...?

is it a good brand. How well do the volumizing shampoo and body conditioners work? I dont think I can return it there if it sucks, so 20 bucks is still a lot and its a big thing of shampoo.

anyway, any ideas as to how well it works.

i have thin blonde hair that is generally limp and gets greasy fairly easily.

i dont blow dry it all the time, only when i have to.I saw peter coppola shampoo on sale today at TJMaxx...it was 10 bucks for a big bottle. I was wondering...?
It it's a really expensive salon-brand then I'd think twice about buying anywhere except a salon. Many times beauty supply stores, and other stores will sell fakes or watered-down versions. Salon-only brands like Paul Mitchell will ONLY guarantee their products if it's bought at a recommended *salon* retailer. I remember years ago Walgreens used to sell Paul Mitchell and it used to be watered down versions. I've never heard of this particular brand, but just remember that you get what you paid for and if a really expensive brand is selling for a very cheap price then it might be a complete waste of money if it's not the real deal.I saw peter coppola shampoo on sale today at TJMaxx...it was 10 bucks for a big bottle. I was wondering...?
avaerage at best...so not bad....just remember, you get what you pay for

When you take a shower/bath, do you leave open your shampoo bottles?

Nope- I've got two mischevious cats. Enough said. When you take a shower/bath, do you leave open your shampoo bottles?
NO!!! How lazy or how much of a slob are you that you can NOT close a bottle that you managed to open???When you take a shower/bath, do you leave open your shampoo bottles?
no i don't think so why what does that have to do with your question
No, I don't want water to get in them.
    no
I used to until my husband got on my case. He is right, though...they can so easily get knocked over and spill everything. I suppose they could evaporate a little too,or have a bug crawl in and die, but those scenarios doen't bother me! hehe!
No, I payed good money for that, and I don't it getting ruined/going down the drain. I do, however, leave the soap floating in a puddle of water. *ashamed*
    Shampoo? What's that? :-D
    Yes I do.
No. If you do the tops of your body wash, shampoo, and conditioner may dry up and clog.
    Yes,I do.That is really a bad habbit.

I do the same with creams and other products.Except for tooth-pastes.I don't know how... Or why..?
Ummmm... no. What if they fall over? That could make a mess as well as be a hazard for the next person stepping into the stall. And how about the water splashing into the bottles. If I wanted to water down my shower products I could think of an easier way!
no. I even close my husbands bottles too, and check on the kids' after they bathe. And ya know, it's amazing that I have to do that even though I remind them all the time to close them. GGGRRRR
yes....so why do you ask that for???
    never
    no
no, i usually close them in case one falls...
    Sometimes
I did that once, and all I got was a handful of watered down shampoo...now I make sure they're closed.
I close them for two reasons:

    1. My shower rack put the bottles at an angle, if I were to accidently (in the blurry morning hours) put them upside down, I lose all my shampoo and conditioner.

    2. If they're left open and water spashes on them while showering, water can get inside and water the formula down.
    not usually
No, I hate when people leave the shampoo bottle open.
    Yes.
    nope I close it
